Whiskey cocktails - Just delicious!
There are literaly hundereds of Whiskey cocktails that you can enjoy in a cocktail bar like TGI Fridays or if you prefer at home. All are truly delicious.

Whiskey Sour (one of the great Whiskey cocktails)
- 1 ounce Lemon Juice
- 1 teaspoon Powdered Sugar
- 2 ounces Blended Scotch Whisky
Shake and strain into a sour glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a cherry.
Manhattan
- 2 ounces Rye Whiskey
- 1 ounce Sweet Vermouth
- 3 dashes Bitters
Stir and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry.
Bourbon Black Hawk
- 2 ounces Bourbon
- 1 ounce Sloe Gin
Stir and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry.
Mint Julep
- 8 whole Mint Leaf
- 1 tablespoons Simple Syrup
- 1 ounces Bourbon
- 1 teaspoon Bitters
Muddle mint leaves and syrup in the bottom of a highball glass by crushing the leaves with a bar spoon.
Fill the glass with crushed ice, and saturate with bourbon whiskey. Add bitters, stir briskly, and garnish with a mint sprig.
The traditional julep substitutes sugar for syrup, but syrup allows the drink to be sweeter.
Bourbon and Branch
- 2 ounces Bourbon
- 4 ounces Water
Stir in a highball glass half filled with ice.
Whiskey Cobbler
- 1 teaspoon Powdered Sugar
- 2 oz Club Soda
- 2 oz Blended Scotch Whisky
Pour sugar and Club Soda into a red wine glass and wait until the sugar dissolves.
Fill with shaved ice and add blended Scotch whisky. Stir and garnish with seasonal fruit.
Bourbon Street(my favorite Whiskey cocktail)
- 4 cups Bourbon
- 1 quarts Coffee
- 1 pint Light Cream
- 4 oz Amaretto
- 1 quart Vanilla Ice Cream
Mix ingredients in a punch bowl. Garnish with bitter chocolate shavings. Serve in punch glasses
Old-Fashioned Whiskey cocktail
- 2 oz Blended Scotch Whisky
- 1 whole Sugar Cube
- 1 dash Bitters
- 1 teaspoon Water
Combine the sugar cube, Bitters, and 1 tsp. water in an old-fashioned glass.
Muddle well, add blended Scotch whisky, and stir. Garnish with the twist of a lemon peel, slices of orange and a cherry.
Serve with a swizzle stick.
Sazerac
- 1 teaspoon Ricard
- 1 teaspoon Superfine Sugar
- 2 dashes Bitters
- 1 teaspoon Water
- 2 oz Bourbon
Pour Ricard into an old-fashioned glass and swirl around to coat glass, discard any excess.
Place the sugar, Peychaud Bitters, and water into the glass and muddle them with the back of a spoon.
Almost fill the glass with ice cubes.
Pour the Bourbon whiskey over the ice cubes and garnish with a lemon twist.
Ward Eight
- 1 tablespoon Lemon
- 1 teaspoon Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Grenadine
- 2 oz Blended Scotch Whisky
Shake and strain into a red wine glass filled with cracked ice.
Add slices of orange and lemon and a cherry.
Bourbon Flip
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 teaspoon Superfine Sugar
- 1 oz Light Cream
Shake and strain into a sour glass. Garnish with nutmeg.
Probably a Whiskey cocktail for the ladies!
Affinity Cocktail
- 1 oz Dry Vermouth
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1 oz Scotch
- 3 dashes Orange Bitters
Stir and strain into a cocktail glass over ice.
Rob Roy Whiskey cocktail
- 1 oz Scotch
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1 dash Bitters
Stir ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve. Garnish with a cherry.
Bourbon Highball
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 8 oz Carbonated Water
Build in a highball glass and fill with carbonated water.
Stir and garnish with the twist of a lemon peel.
Boston Sour
- 2 oz Blended Scotch Whisky
- 1 oz Lemon
- 1 teaspoon Powdered Sugar
- 1 whole Egg White
Shake with ice and strain into a sour glass.
Garnish with a slice of lemon and a cherry.
Beagle Tail
- 1 1/2 oz Scotch
- 1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
- Ice
Stir with ice and strain into a glass
Beaver Beard Whiskey cocktail
- 1 oz Scotch
- 3/4 oz Irish Whiskey
- Juice of 1/3 Lemon
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
- Ice
Shake with ice and strain into a glass.
Blood on Sand Cocktail
- 1/2 oz Scotch
- 1/2 oz Cherry-flavored Brandy
- 1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1 tbsp Orange Juice
- Ice
Shake with ice and strain into a glass
Flying Scotsman
- 1 oz Scotch
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1 dash Bitters
- 1/4 tsp Simple Syrup
- Ice
Stir with ice and strain into a glass.
Godfather
- 1 1/2oz Scotch
- 1/2oz Amaretto
- Ice
Pour into a glass half filled with ice
Heather's Blush
- 1oz Scotch
- 1oz Strawberry Liqueur
- 3oz Chilled Sparkling Wine
Pour scotch and liqueur into a champagne glass.
Top with sparkling wine and add a strawberry.
Highland Cooler
- 2oz Scotch
- 1/2 tsp Powdered Sugar
- 2oz Club Soda
- Ice
Put sugar and 2 oz club soda into a glass. Stir and add ice cubes and scotch. Fill with club soda and stir.
Highland Fling
- 1 1/2oz Scotch
- 3/4oz Sweet Vermouth
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
- Ice
Stir with ice and strain into a glass.
Hole in One
- 1 3/4 oz Scotch
- 3/4 oz Vermouth
- 1/4 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 dash Orange Bitters
- Ice
Shake with ice and strain into a glass
Hot Moon Cocktail
- 1 1/2oz Scotch
- 3/4oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1 tsp Benedictine
- Ice
Stir with ice and strain into a glass.
Top with a wedge of lemon.
Loch Lomond
- 1oz Scotch
- 1/2oz Peach Schnapps
- 1oz Blue Curacao
- 3oz Grapefruit Juice
- 1/2oz Lemon Juice
- Crushed Ice
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into hurricane glass filled with crushed ice.
Top with a slice of star fruit
Miami Beach Babe
- 3/4oz Scotch
- 3/4oz Dry Vermouth
- 3/4oz Grapefruit Juice
- Ice
Shake with ice and strain into a glass
Modem Cocktail
- 1 1/2oz Scotch
- 1/2 tsp Jamaican Rum
- 1 dash Orange Bitters
- 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/4 tsp Anisette
- Ice
Shake with ice and strain into a glass. Top with a cherry.
Rusty Nail
- 1 1/2oz. Scotch
- 1oz. Drambuie
Pour ingredients into a chilled old fashioned glass along with several ice cubes. Stir.
Scotch Bounty Hunter
- 1oz Scotch
- 1oz Coconut Rum
- 1oz White Creme de Cacao
- 1/2oz Grenadine
- 4oz Orange Juice
- Ice
Shake with ice and pour into hurricane glass.
Top with a pineapple wedge and a cherry. Serve with a straw.
Scotch Cooler
- 2oz Scotch
- 1/4oz White Creme de Menthe
- Club Soda
- Ice
Pour into a glass 3/4 full of ice cubes.
Fill with club soda and stir.
Scot in a Box
- 1oz Scotch
- 1 tbsp Orange Juice
- 1/2oz Dry Vermouth
- 1/2 tsp Triple Sec
- 1/4 tsp Powdered Sugar
- Ice
Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass.
Add a twist of lemon.
Scotch Happy Sour
- 1 1/2oz Scotch
- 1oz Cherry-flavored Brandy
- 1/2oz Sweet Vermouth
- 1oz Lemon Juice
- Ice
Shake with ice and strain into a glass half filled with ice cubes.
Top with a slice of lemon.
Scotch Royale
- 1 1/2oz Scotch
- 1 cube Sugar
- 1 dash Bitters
- Chilled Champagne
Place sugar cube in a champagne glass.
Add scotch and bitters. Fill with champagne.
Scotch Sour
- 1 1/2oz Scotch
- Juice of 1/2 Lime
- 1/2 tsp Powdered Sugar
- Ice
Shake with ice and strain into a glass.
Top with a slice of lemon and a cherry.
Shooting the Curl
- 1oz Scotch
- 1oz Dry Sherry
- 1 tsp Orange Juice
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp Powdered Sugar
- Ice
Shake with ice and strain into a glass
Silent Service
- 2oz Scotch
- 1oz Cointreau
- 1oz Lemon Juice
- Ice
Shake well with ice and strain into a glass.
Stone Wall Whiskey cocktail
- 2oz Scotch
- 2 dash Bitters
- Cider
- Ice
Fill a glass with ice cubes.
Add scotch and bitters and fill with cider. Stir well.
Thistle
- 1 1/2oz Scotch
- 1 1/2oz Sweet Vermouth
- 2 dashes Bitters
- Ice
Stir with ice and strain into a glass.
